School Info:
Yeshiva University is an orthodox Jewish university, and as such, all students have a dual curriculum and are required to take the Jewish studies program as well as the their academic program. An understanding of Hebrew is suggested. Observing all Jewish holidays and Shabbas, we do not practice or compete during these times. Practice is four nights a week and most of our multi-school meets are scheduled for Sundays. Our fencing season practice begins the first week in September, with time off for all the Jewish fall holidays. Competition begins at the end of October and culminates in mid-March with the NCAA Regional and National Championships. The Yeshiva women's campus, Stern College, is in Midtown Manhattan in the middle of everything that New York City has to offer. There are also several fencing clubs in the city and local and regional USFA competitions happening around the Metropolitan NYC area. Both Manhattan Fencing Center and The Fencers Club are about a 10-minute walk from school.
